The journal Enumerative Combinatorics and Applications (ECA) is committed to maintaining high standards of ethics and integrity in publishing. It follows well-known international guidelines, including those of the Committee on Publication Ethics.
The journal works to prevent unethical practices and to ensure transparency throughout the publication process.
Duties of Editors
Editors evaluate submitted manuscripts based on their quality, originality, and relevance to the journal. Decisions are made fairly, without considering the authors’ race, gender, affiliation, or nationality.
Editors ensure a fair and unbiased peer review process, keep all submissions confidential, and avoid conflicts of interest. If any misconduct is suspected, they take appropriate action following established ethical guidelines.
Duties of Reviewers
Reviewers support the editorial process by providing objective and constructive evaluations of submitted manuscripts. Reviewers must:
- Treat all manuscripts as confidential.
- Provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Point out relevant published work that is not cited.
- Disclose any conflicts of interest.
- Not use unpublished material for personal benefit.
Author Responsibilities
Authors must make sure their work is original and not published or sent anywhere else. Authors should:
Use correct sources and give credit
Not copy, change data, or make up results
Make sure all authors helped in the work
Share any conflicts of interest
Fix important mistakes if found
Peer Review Process
All papers submitted to ECA are reviewed by editors and expert reviewers in the same field.
The journal uses a single-blind review system. In a single-blind review:
- Reviewers know who the authors are
- Authors do not know who the reviewers are
This process helps ensure the research is good, correct, and useful.
Publication Malpractice
The journal does not tolerate any form of academic misconduct, including:
- Plagiarism
- Duplicate or redundant publication
- Data fabrication or falsification
- Improper authorship attribution
Any suspected misconduct will be investigated and handled in accordance with COPE guidelines.
Corrections and Retractions
If errors or ethical issues are identified in published articles, the journal may issue corrections,
expressions of concern, or retractions as appropriate.
The journal is committed to maintaining the integrity of the scholarly record.
